I went to last night's concert of Elmer Bernstein conducting the RPO and noticed an ad in the programme for your forthcoming DVD of "The Man With The Golden Arm."
Interestingly, it mentions a 40-minute interview with Mr. Bernstein. Is this a recent interview ?

Dear R.G.

Thanks for getting in touch. I was also at last night's concert - which was terrific - and, as you know, Mr. Bernstein is now the subject of a foorthcoming "This Is Your Life."

The interview which appears on the DVD "The Man With The Golden Arm" is relatively recent.. It was recorded in London last year - prior to his scoring of Martin Scorcese's "Gangs of New York."

The "Golden Arm" DVD will be available from the end of this month ( Oct 28th ).
