I found a CAPITOL 45 a few years ago-TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS-the sides with Billy May will be special-everything crossed!

Thanks for your interest, Mark. In all, Dick Haymes recorded around 36 titles for Capitol, but not all of them were released. It'll be interesting to see just how much of this material we can get hold of and,of course, if it's all useable.
I've asked Ruth Prigozy - author of the forthcoming book on Haymes - if she would like to write some notes for the proposed album and she's accepted. She's also mentioned the album to Ian Bernard, who did those wonderful backings for both of Dick's albums. It should be an interesting release. |

Thanks Mark. As you know, I'm a great fan of Tony Bennett. He is quite simply one of the greats. THe last of the truly great song stylists. Long may he continue.

This 2-CD set comes with an illustrated 16-page booklet and contains not only the two classic albums "Rain Or Shine" and "Moondreams" but also every single that Haymes recorded for Capitol plus two previously unreleased titles and three sets of session out-takes never before heard.
Current release date is Sept. 4. |
