To Ken Barnes,

Dear Mr. Barnes,
I've just played the Fred and Ginger box set and I was fascinated by Ava Astaire McKenzine's introductions. The sequence for "Shall We Dance" concerning George Gershwin's last words was one of the most touching moments I have ever experienced. It looked to me like Ava herself was touched by the letter as she read it.

I've read many books on Gershwin and I've never come across this story before. So this DVD collection is especially valuable in unearthing information that is unavailable anywhere else. I'm grateful to everyone concerned with its production. I do hope there'll be a second volume.

Thank you
